RECOVERY FROM SPINAL INJURY

Donation protected

Greetings, my name is Clobert (CLOBEAR) Broussard III. I'm an artist, martial arts instructor, and arborist. I'm fundraising to recover from a devastating spinal injury that occurred in St. Louis, MO on November 14th, 2022. Six vertebrae were fractured from my neck to my lumbar spine which required two surgeries with the placement of permanent hardware and disc replacement by Dr. Lucas Curylo MD (shown in the picture below taken on 12/23/22 after performing the 2nd surgery and removal of full body cast) of St.Johns Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. My safety line pulled me down 35ftout the tree also causing a concussion that has rendered me unable to work at the business I run as owner/climber at JAM ASHANTI TREE SERVICE. An arborist of 25 years and a Florida resident, I travel / work between home and St. Louis; however, during this recent trip, my truck developed problems and needs a new engine. I am unable to get back home, pay my rent or hospital bills. As a graduate of KAHANA STUNT FILM SCHOOL Groveland, Florida)I want to continue my tree business to support my ongoing pursuit as an actor in the film industry. As a fine artist, I also have acrylic on canvas paintings for sale.

"TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN :
I, OLEG STEVENS have known Clobear Broussard III for the last 3 years... He is polite, fair, and always willing to help people. We have been cutting / trimming trees together for 2.5 years. Clobear has been doing it for 25 years and never had an accident. Unfortunately, last year on Nov.14, 2022 we had a terrible accident where a branch he was cutting broke our top crane /anchor where the safety rope was attached. Clobear was thrown out of the tree about 30ft high & 10ft away from the tree & landed on grassy ground . Instantly we rushed to him yelling for home owner to call 911. He was completely unresponsive...I thought he was dead.....He was thrown about 30ft in height & 10 ft away from tree. I put my jacket under his head & rubbed his chest. He came to and started breathing, looking around trying to raise up to stand up. I told him what happened and to stay down till 911/EMS got there. Once EMS/911 got there he was quickly put on a stretcher with neck brace & taken to the hospital. I arranged for the dumpster , chipper to get picked up , returned rented chainsaw, picked up tools n gear. Cleaned scene of the accident. When I visited him at the hospital & found out the severity of his injuries - 6 fractured vertebrae on his neck and spine with concussion, I knew it would be a long road to recovery but he is alive thank God.
So with that being said he really needs our help.... Let's all together help a fallen friend/ comrade / tovarish get back on his feet & up in the trees doing what he loves cutting trees... Thank You God Bless."
